About Patrick
Patrick Makohin is a Broker who has quickly gained experience and built valuable industry connections, which have contributed to his rapid growth in the company. He works within the Management & Professional Liability Department where he is part of a national team of experts that specialize in an extensive list of MLPL coverages. Patrick has also gained considerable expertise in the Construction space as well as the Technology / Cyber market and has earned his Registered Cyber Liability Specialist (RCLS) designation.
Patrick has been with Brown & Riding since 2014. He joined the firm while in school as an intern in the company’s Service Center, and upon his graduation from the University of Mississippi in 2016, Patrick was brought on full-time in the B&R Tampa Bay office as a Production Assistant. He became a Production Associate in 2017, Associate Broker in 2019, and a Broker in 2021.
Patrick has previously served on the Board of Directors for the Pinellas Association of Insurance Agents (PAIA). PAIA is a St. Petersburg-based local non-profit that is geared towards creating and growing local industry relationships and providing opportunity to local agents who don’t have the leverage of a large retailer. Patrick has also spent time as a member of the Florida Young Agents Council and the Florida Association of Insurance Agents.
