About Jeffrey
Jeffrey Hubbard has over 30 years of environmental underwriting and brokerage experience, focusing primarily on complex risk and high hazard operations. His experience includes residential and industrial contractors as well as refining, transportation, and production of petroleum products. He also has extensive experience with brownfield redevelopment, hospitality and real estate portfolios as well as other heavy industries such as foundries, metal plating and chemical manufacturing.
Jeffrey joined Brown & Riding in 2018 to build the firm’s environmental practice and has since expanded to also oversee the firm’s energy specialization. Prior to joining B&R, Jeffrey was Director of Environmental Practice at a wholesale specialty brokerage in Dallas, Texas. He has numerous notable highlights to his career, including working for a Fortune 1000 building products manufacturer where he oversaw one of the largest building products litigation cases in the United States. He has served as a Risk Management Consultant for an electric utility during its bankruptcy and has also worked for a multinational finance and insurance corporation, assisting primarily with large corporate clients with the creation and implementation of environmental risk management strategies.
Jeffrey is a graduate of the University of North Texas, where he obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in insurance and finance. He is a two time Insurance Business America Top Specialist Broker (2018 and 2021) and has maintained an active presence in the community. He has served on the Crosspoint Youth Football League as a member of the Board of Directors, and has also previously served on the University of North Texas’s Finance Insurance Real Estate and Law Curriculum Advisory Board. He has also served as the Insurance Editor for Brownfield News. He currently serves on the Advisory Committee for the University of Mississippi Risk Management & Insurance curriculum.
