About Dawn
Dawn Gordon is a Principal, Senior Vice President, and Broker at Brown & Riding, specializing in real estate, CAT perils, parametric solutions, and complex shared and layered programs.
With over 35 years of industry experience, Dawn began her insurance career on the carrier side where she held positions as a Property Underwriter, Marketing Representative, Underwriting Director, and Sales Director before moving over to the wholesale side. She joined Brown & Riding in 2017 and became a company shareholder in 2022.
Dawn is known for her enthusiasm for the insurance industry, her innovation within the parametric space, and her depth of knowledge of the Florida property market. She has earned a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, is a member of the Florida Surplus Lines Association, and has been a twice-featured contributor in the Rough Notes annual Florida Special Report. She actively participates in charitable initiatives with IICF, contributes her time to industry leadership through the WSIA Events Committee, and previously served for eight years as president of Toastmasters, where she helped countless professionals build confidence and communication skills. Today, she continues to serve as a community volunteer, lending her energy to projects that benefit her hometown.
