Brown & Riding, a Top 10 U.S. wholesaler and specialty insurance brokerage, has announced the return of Michael Davis to the firm’s Construction Practice Group. Davis is a senior executive with extensive experience in complex builder’s risk program design and placement. He is based in the company’s Los Angeles headquarters and helps clients throughout the United States.
Davis recently left a brokerage firm where he was a Vice President in the Construction Services Group. In that position, he was responsible for first party lines of coverage and bespoke insurance programs for sophisticated builder and developer clients.
Davis cited Brown & Riding’s client-first mentality and collaborative culture as significant factors in his decision. “When the client always comes first and you have a team of experts to work with, you take a more holistic view of a risk,” he said. “Airports, stadiums and high-rise condos aren’t about individual policies, they’re about total risk transfer and making sure the coverage is appropriate for all parties, top to bottom.”
Brown & Riding offered Davis a key role in its Construction Practice Group, providing him with the right platform to meet the needs of demanding clients and projects. “There’s a great culture here, one that provides risk professionals with everything they need to ensure clients are satisfied.”
Chris Brown, Brown & Riding’s Chairman, was clear on the importance of the move. “Our firm’s growth and success is completely dependent on the quality of our team,” he said. “It’s why we take 100 percent employee ownership and our independent market status so seriously.”
Per Brown, these are two critical recruiting and retention tools that have a direct, positive impact on clients. “We are excited to have Mike back, as are many of our clients and carrier partners,” he added.
