About Nick
Nick Kuchulis is a Principal and Broker at Brown & Riding who specializes in Construction. He is also the firm’s leading Amusement Attractions & Action Sports specialist. Nick joined B&R in 2007, and by 2014, he had become a Principal. Since 2018, he has been consistently ranked as one of the company’s top producers. In 2019, Nick was honored as a winner of Business Insurance’s Break Out Awards, which recognizes the next generation of insurance industry leaders. His deep understanding of the market has allowed him to manuscript forms to cover all levels of risk. Nick ascribes his success to his three mottos: master a specialty, strive for responsiveness, and find a way to get it done.
Nick continues to innovate new construction products. He works closely with his peers and clients to solve construction needs across the nation, from California to New York to Florida, and places in between. With experience in large Excess towers and high limit capacity, Nick has worked with insurance carriers to meet the needs of clients in all manner of difficult construction risks, including tunneling, petrochemical plants, high rise apartments, and mixed-use condo projects. Thanks to long-term relationships fostered with top carrier executives, he also has had success navigating the ever-changing construction market, assisting clients with difficult prior experience, large shock losses, and other challenging market conditions.
As a leading broker in B&R’s Construction Practice Group, Nick also provides broad market access, in-depth experience, and a team of dedicated specialists with decades of combined experience in various construction projects and challenging requirements. Working with this group has led to a number of innovations and direct, hands-on experience at all levels of the construction spectrum.

When he’s not on the road meeting his clients, you’ll find him hitting the links with his friends, skiing in Tahoe with his family, or at home spending time with his wife and children.
